When you interact with Herd Partners Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) we may collect, use, store and in a limited way, share your personal information. This policy describes how we deal with your personal information. By giving us your information, you consent to us dealing with your personal information in terms of this policy. All aspects of our dealings with your personal information are covered by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

The information we collect in relation to the purposes includes, but is not limited to name, address, email, phone numbers, date of birth, financial position, financial forecasts, employment history, credit history, farm business information (for example details related to your herd, farm, production, contractual relationships).

Your information is collected through any method including but not limited to, phone conversations, email, websites, and other electronic communication methods. Where practical, we collect this information directly from you. We may also collect the information from any other source, including but not limited to government ministries (including their agencies and business units), credit checking firms, current or former employers, financiers, advisors, or service providers.

We may use cookies, email tracking, and other internet technologies such as web beacons (clear gifs), javascript, third-party plug-ins (for example Google Analytics) designed to monitor the effectiveness of our online presence (direct electronic communications, websites, social media etc) and to personalise your experience in relation to the provision and marketing of our services.

Storing and Sharing Information

We will store your information securely, with technologies and processes designed to ensure that only authorised persons can access it. The most important measures we take are:

  • Ensuring all employees complete information security training, irrespective of their role.
  • The use of password managers to securely store complex, random and unique passwords
  • Where your data is shared for any purpose, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it will be secure, and that it will only be used for the purposes outlined in this policy.

We may share your information with third parties so that we can market our services, provide our services, manage our business, and continuously improve our ability to perform these activities.
