Steve and Debbie Turnbull were on a lower order contract in Otorohanga and were offered the opportunity to take on an additional job, a 50/50 contract on a 370 cow unit near Putaruru.
Taking this job required finding a suitable contract milker to employ and 135 cows to add to their own.
The Turnbulls’ stock agent had already worked with Herd Partners and recommended the solution. An agreement was quickly in place, leaving the Turnbulls to focus on finding the stock.
On 1-Jun the Turnbulls took responsibility for final inspection and delivery, Herd Partners took care of settlement.
