The Percys are owner-operators on a conversion near Greymouth. The farm was heading into its fourth season following conversion to dairy. Numbers were still building and the Percys were in need of a further 50 mixed aged cows.
The cows were purchased to order on the Herd Partners platform over two separate lines. One through an agent, the other arranged by the Percys.
The increasing production and a stable farm-gate milk price meant that the Percy's trading bank had the confidence to fund the purchase of the lease stock after a single season.
Herd Partners were happy to play a small part in their conversion growth story.
