Shane and Toni Carter were award winning sharemilkers from Te Kauwhata with a laser focus on farm ownership. They were heading to Northland for a 300 cow job and were looking for another 25 – 30 heifers to make up the required numbers.
That arrangement was only required for one season but four years later, the Carters were taking ownership of their first farm and were looking for 20 carry-overs to top up.
Herd Partners normally requires much larger lines, but following a smooth experience with the Carters four years earlier, we were happy to help again. It was very satisfying to play some small part in the final steps of the Carters' farm ownership journey.
